The organisation has new leadership and is embarking on a multi-year transformation program where we are investing significantly to drive growth, revitalise the operational back bone of the business and our digital capabilities. “Let’s build the future together - the best is yet to come” As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all financial and accounting activities within the country, serving as a key partner to the Sales Lead and the primary contact for the shared service office. You will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Your responsibilities Lead all accounting operations, including the preparation of statutory financial statements. Manage tax compliance, including VAT filings, corporate income tax, and deferred tax calculations. Collaborate with the CEE Tax Manager on country-specific tax matters. Oversee store accounting, reconciliations, and payroll cost control. Ensure timely payments and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Provide financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting support to the CEE Business Navigation team. Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and oversee external audits. Ensure timely reporting through consolidation software (OneStream). Manage risk and ensure strong internal controls. Develop and mentor the accounting team through coaching, training, and performance reviews. Collaborate with internal departments to optimize processes, drive efficiencies, and achieve cost savings. Partner with the Sales Lead to provide financial analysis and support for special projects. Act as a business partner to other local departments within the headquarters. Prepare and submit local reports to national banks, statistical offices, and other authorities. Reporting Prepare and analyze standard company reports. Submit local regulatory reports as required. Assist with the annual financial statements and external audit process. Proven experience in preparation of Statutory Financial statements. Experience leading a team of accountants. Deep knowledge of IFRS and local Romanian accounting standards. Knowledge of Romanian tax topics, including VAT, CIT, Deferred tax. Work experience SAP Ariba and MS office. Being able to understand and organize business processes. Flexibility in organizing work in a changing environment. Effective communication in both English and Romanian.
