Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Head of Accounting. This role involves overseeing the entire accounting function, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations, managing financial analysis and reporting, and driving the development of our client portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep expertise in accounting, financial analysis, and tax compliance, capable of managing operations while expanding our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards.

• Supervise and review bookkeeping, reconciliations, and period-end closing activities.

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements and consolidated reports.

• Lead and manage the Accounting line within the company, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service delivery.

• Develop and implement strategies for financial improvement together with the management.

• Maintain compliance and accuracy.

Tax ; Regulatory Compliance:

• Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of tax declarations and other fiscal reports.

• Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and other applicable tax obligations.

• Stay up to date with regulatory changes and advise clients on tax strategies and optimizations.

Financial Analysis & Advisory:

• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making for clients and internal stakeholders.

• Provide insights into financial performance, cost efficiency, and risk management.

• Support business development initiatives with financial modeling and forecasting.

Business Development & Client Management:

• Drive the development and expansion of the accounting and tax advisory portfolio.

• Engage in networking and business development to attract new clients and partnerships.

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic financial and accounting guidance.

Operational & Technology Integration:

• Oversee the implementation of digital accounting solutions and process automation.

• Improve data processing workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

• Optimize the use of accounting software and ERP systems for seamless financial operations.

• Writing and presenting reports for quarterly and yearly budgets.

• Performs month-end and year end closing operations in accordance with the statutory reporting requirements and regional/global policies.

• Participate in the creation of various accounting procedures in order to improve the processes.

• Manages accruals and prepayments.

• Reviews the monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns for VAT and corporate tax as applicable.

• Identifies possible accounting and tax compliance issues and communicates them to management.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional certifications (CECCAR, ACCA, CAFR/ASPAAS, CCFR, ADIT) are highly desirable.

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, tax compliance, and financial management.

• Strong understanding of IFRS, local GAAP, and tax regulations.

Competencies:

• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.

• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and develop talent.

• Excellent client management and business development acumen.

• Ability to work with ERP systems, accounting software, and digital transformation tools.

• Fluency in English is desired.
