We are looking for an Application Engineer for our business Verdant Energy Management Solutions which is one of the fastest growing divisions part of Copeland. 

We are in search of an inquisitive professional who has a proven background in HVAC systems and a keen understanding of controls, as well as the ability to integrate them seamlessly with smart thermostats.

You will collaborate with our Sales Executives in Pre and Post Sales Applications & Technical Support for selling energy management systems and smart thermostats into the hospitality and MDU space across Europe.

This job is based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Provide Sales Representatives and clients with Pre and Post technical support.
• Respond efficiently and in a timely manner to inquiries from clients and Sales Executives as it pertains to HVAC and thermostat compatibility.
• Act as a resource for Sales Representatives during the Sales Process to assist in solutioning.
• Review and Clear Tech holds.
• Provide and explain Wiring Diagrams to help Customer understand how to install our Thermostats for a more complex HVAC unit.
• Confirm via wiring diagram or spec sheet that our Thermostats are compatible with the HVAC unit.
• Ability to understand the sequence of operation for the HVAC Unit.
• Assist in PMS (Property Management System) and BMS (Building Management System) integrations as well as Lighting and Door Lock integration.
• Explain the full scope of work needed for a System Commissioning.
• Review Installation Manuals with customers as needed.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• 3 years of experience as an Application Engineer.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Great organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Good customer services and interpersonal skills.
• Experience of working in a multinational environment.
