DA Languages is looking for bilingual Arabic speakers to join our network of freelance remote interpreters.

Due to increased demand for remote interpreters, this is a great opportunity to start or build on your career in this industry.

Successful candidates should own:

• Fluency in English and Arabic up to C1 level (a telephone language assessment will be conducted by our in-house team)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Empathetic demeanour, as the role involves interacting with vulnerable individuals at times.
• Pro-active and self-motivated
• Organises own time effectively
• Right to work in your country of residence
• Desire to give back to the community
• Passion for the language industry and the desire to develop a career within.

This role is completely flexible - you can choose when you work and how long you work for. You simply log into our telephone interpreting app whenever you are ready to work, and we will pay you for each minute you work for.

As a telephone interpreter, you will join conference calls with our clients and their non-English speaking service users. These calls will be held on our bespoke telephone interpreting app, either on demand or through pre-booked appointments. You can set your own availability on the app, allowing you to control your working hours.

As a video remote interpreter, you will join video calls with our clients and their non-English speaking service users. This service is pre-booked, and you will receive the details required to access the call for platforms including Microsoft teams, Zoom, Skype and more.

The type of calls will include but not are limited to:

• Medical appointments
• Meetings with public officials
• Legal matters and immigration meetings
• Social services
• Child protection appointments
