YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS AUTOMATION ENGINEER:

You will be part of a unique organization based within the manufacturing plant that drives synergies, technical rigor, and focuses on delivering projects with excellence utilizing standard work processes, where tasks include process and technology development, equipment design, specification of technical requirements for new machines /processes/ production lines’ upgrades, data analysis, technical scope initiation and deployment with objective to achieve simplification, waste reduction, cost savings and various efficiency improvements.

Tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Identify and correct the electrical failures or automation equipment programs;
• Project and build automation panels;
• Realize converter applications and servo actioning frequencies;
• Repair industrial electronic equipment;
• Handle complex tasks regarding the assembling and repairing the production equipment and automation gears;
• Train plant technicians and operators in using the equipment and systems;
• Identify and recommend changes and ways to improve the production processes and be part of new projects.
• In charge of daily troubleshooting operations for production equipment;
• Conversion and programming control equipment (Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Siemens PLC) of production systems;
• Programming and development of vision based quality control systems with real time integrated control loops;
• Development of programs, applying artificial intelligence;
• Programming, design specification, creation of design documentation for motion/process control systems and robotic applications
• Design and standardization of machine safety systems based on the most modern standards and norms;
• Installation and commissioning of new instrumentation, process automation and controls equipment;
• Participating in technology upgrade projects/installation of new production systems,
• Responsible for design and technical solutions that meet changing business needs;
• Collaborate with technical experts, external partners, colleagues from other functions involved in manufacturing and logistics within the Budapest plant and beyond;
• Industrial robots (such as ABB) programming
• Responsible for power and controls installation, integration, and start-up of new and/or upgraded equipment.
• Own the programming definition, testing, and execution for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) such as Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs) and Human-to-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) including robots, vision / detection systems, and other industrial automation.
• Integrate the Industrial Control Systems with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to provide process monitoring, reliability information and quality control supporting operational excellence.
• Lead electrical VATs (vendor acceptance tests) on purchased equipment.
• Provide technical direction to vendors and engineering firms throughout all phases of the project (design through construction and startup).
• Input to project scope, cost, schedule, and resourcing plus the ability to quickly embrace and adapt to change
• Working collaboratively with site / global engineering, technical vendors, equipment suppliers, and production site personnel.
