QA role in a new team at an established international company of more than 20 years that is now in scaleup mode
Responsible for QA process including building automated regression testing and hands-on testing where automated testing still to be implemented
There is an opportunity to combine this with a DevOps role if candidate has relevant AWS experience

Reporting to Senior Technology Team Lead.

The role
The QA role is a critical part of the SDLC at K2. As a software tester, you'll be involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment.
You'll conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to our users.
An important part of this role will also be advancing the automated regression testing coverage, as well as being part of the core team that helps K2 move to a test driven development model as we redefine our business analysis and specification processes to drive more agile development. This role is core to the creation of
software solutions at K2. Significant business growth over the last year and plans for much more growth is driving a lot of system enhancement requirements.
As well as excellent technical skills this role needs strong analytical skills and a team player to help deliver critical system development in sync with the overall SDLC process. This role is immediately important to K2 achieving its next chapter of growth with technology at the heart of this critical part of the business strategy, and as a result offers career growth with more system and technical strategy ownership as knowledge of the system and technology offering increases.


Main duties and responsibilities
Responsible for automated and manual testing cycles
o Scripted hands-on testing of frontend UI
o Semi-automated regression integration testing as pre-release critical path
Responsible for building out new automated tests using backend and UI test harnesses
Responsible for QA best practices and strategy
Contribute to best practices for test driven software development model o Including review and validation of any test driven specification methodology input tests
Join daily Tech team stand-ups and partner closely with Tech leads on project pipeline management Partner with Support team to incorporate any additional tests into the QA process needed to facilitate robust system releases
