We are seeking a Chief Accountant to join one of our clients, world leader in production.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring they are accurately recorded in the ERP and compliant with applicable accounting and reporting standards.
• Lead the preparation and booking of monthly accruals and other key accounting entries.
• Ensure proper and timely preparation of the company’s financial statements in compliance with local GAAP and group accounting manual.
• Oversee the submission of declarations to regulatory authorities.
• Coordinate the annual inventory process and ensure accurate recording of results.
• Maintain a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Serve as the primary contact in relation to the external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations to support audit procedures.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to local management on financial matters, providing guidance and recommendations to support strategic objectives.
• Provide support for the implementation of various financial systems and initiatives, including testing and process improvements.
