Job Description

As an FM L2 Engineer, you will take full ownership of end-to-end fault, incident, and problem management, ensuring that all resolutions are in line with established SLA (Service Level Agreement) and OLA (Operational Level Agreement) commitments. You will be the key point of contact for handling the most complex escalations, utilizing your deep technical expertise to diagnose and resolve intricate network incidents. Your responsibilities will include performing detailed fault analysis, providing expert-level solutions, and applying advanced procedural knowledge to optimize network performance. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining network stability, minimizing downtime, and ensuring operational efficiency at all times.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Create and delete user accounts, resolve user access issues
• Perform daily routine system health checks, monitor alarms – including alarm correlation rules, system logs, and application performance surveillance, and conduct system preventive maintenance
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot application clients
• Conduct System Acceptance Tests in coordination with vendors, adhering to project milestones
• Resolve application and platform incidents and problems
• Provide on-call duty as per the responsibility matrix and offer remote guidance for Field Service/HW Support for on-site interventions
• Manage application software release upgrades and patching
• Maintain consistency in process descriptions and system documentation
• Implement application configuration changes
• Apply patches to servers and operating systems
• Develop and implement custom/on-demand scripts
• Execute changes and assist other teams where OSS/Apps administration access is required
• Perform backups of platforms and applications
• Investigate connectivity issues related to Network Elements, coordinating further steps with the IP Team and/or other relevant technical teams
• Plan, mentor and conduct training sessions for team members
  
  

Key Skills And Experience

• Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is preferable
• Installation/configuration/administration of Unix/Linux
• Installation/configuration/administration of Windows
• Know-how of database administration and maintenance (Oracle, Sybase)
• Knowledge of the most common network protocols
• Task automation and scripting technique is appreciated
• Written and spoken English is a must
• Ability to work temporally in irregular hours
• Understanding of GSM/UMTS/LTE principles is appreciated
