It focuses on the entire spectrum of the core payments bank capabilities, enabling superior digital customer experience and enabling efficient internal process of payments processing, reporting and reconciliations while ensure state of the art security , integrity and resilience of the payments flows.The IT Area Lead of Payments acts as the CIO of the area. You are responsible for driving the technical vision across the Tribe’s squads. You wisely balance between delivering secure, high quality, robust systems which are fit for the rigors of the local market while leveraging global tech capabilities that the ING group provides, forging an elite-level partnership with the Tribe Lead, relentlessly investing in the development of the engineers, and tackling technical and non-financial risk debt.On a broader perspective, together with Enterprise Architecture you own the vision of how the technical landscape for the payments architecture will evolve. You set the standards for your area and take responsibility for developing, innovating, safeguarding, and multiplying knowledge.On a day-to-day basis you are the IT Operational responsible for the systems behinds the assets in your area. This means that you provision for a proficient BizSecDevOps culture, where engineers have sufficient capacity and an effective way of working to deal with any issues that might hamper the System’s Reliability. Together with Second Line of Defence specialists, you ensure that the systems run in a fully compliant way, and together with developers you shape the future of these systems.Your Day-to-DayLead the development and implementation of strategy for your area, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, and ensuring integration with the wider strategy from the Retail, Business Banking, Operational and Technical perspective; you do this by being an exemplary partner to the Tribe Lead as well as a trusted representative of the IT Lead.You lead by example being a model of sound technical thinking and sophisticated engineering patterns that pertain to distributed systems.You showcase leadership and sound decision-making to your organization, multiplying your effectiveness by teaching others how to lead.Contribute to the development of annual and longer-term business plans; forecast performance against business key performance indicators; develop business cases for key activities/projects; and estimate the financial and human resources required to deliver performance targets.Manage and deliver end-to-end digital programs and initiatives, leveraging agile and design-thinking principles to drive sustainable implementation.Identify and manage stakeholders, finding out their needs/issues/concerns and reacting to these by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of information and decisions.Identify shortcomings in existing business practices, then suggest and implement improvements while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organization's change management program.Communicate the actions needed to implement the strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve goals.Motivate and support the growth of all members of your large chapter leads team using equitable approaches to performance management and development that may be differentiated to support each employee's unique needs and preferences to bring out their best and meet business needs.Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities.
