Key Responsibilities
Profit & Loss
Ensures all costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met.
Responsible for financial analysis and management of expenses within scope of responsibility.
Reviews production and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational, logistics, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
Provides expertise for business planning and budgeting.Operational excellence
Drives delivery of the site business plan.
Develops and maintains operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, cycle, production costs.
Delivers as per agreed production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
Provides guidance to the development of a logistics process plan, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs.
Leverages continuous improvement methods to enhance labor productivity and process accuracy while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Sets and monitors the performance against targets for the various functions.
Plays key role in policies and procedures for the Area Operations function that contribute to the overall regional operations plan.Product
Coordinates logistics activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimal production and utilization of resources.
Oversight of shipping/receiving, picking/packing, unloading, sorting, segregating, palletizing, load out, on-time delivery.HSE, Security & Business Resilience
Be aware of and comply with applicable legislation, customer requirements, the HSSE & BR frameworks.
Implement and maintain HSE & BR controls to eliminate or reduce risks.
Ensure all incidents and near misses are reported and investigated and their root cause eliminated.
Maintain an Emergency Response Plan and provide the required equipment for such scenarios.
Communicate to and train employees in HSSE processes,
equipment and how to carry out their role safely ensuring training records are in place.
Ensure audit and review places are in place for HSSE.People
Determines roles & responsibilities of team within scope to achieve business objectives.
Responsible for mentoring, coaching, performance review feedback, conducting disciplinary actions, and interviewing employment candidates.
Develop talent and encourage leadership growth amongst employees.
Drive a high-performance culture characterized by an empowered, highly engaged team.
Drives delivery of the site communication and engagement plans.
Drive the local Employee Relations Strategy and the approach on works council/trade unions/ employee forum.
Ensures team is aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations by engaging the right functions to deliver trainings as needed.
Conversion of Agency staff to permanent staff process ownership.Customer Relations
Build strong relationships with the representatives of the customer working with the operations and account teams to ensure delivery day today.We’re looking for:
University degree
Deep experience in a fast-paced warehousing environment
Demonstrated expertise in leading warehousing operations
Experience in a 3PL environment supporting multiple customers or lines of business helpful.
Demonstrated experience working with customers to improve business operations and results.
A leader of leaders who can build a strong team
People and talent development experience
Collaboration and influencing skills
Understanding of local cultures
Local market knowledge
Financial acumen – ability to read, interpret and act on P&L
Self directed / entrepreneurial
