Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Big Data Engineer, you will develop, maintain, evaluate, and test big data solutions. You will be involved in data engineering activities like creating pipelines/workflows for Source to Target and implementing solutions that tackle the clients needs.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Strategic Data Model Design and ETL Optimization: Design, build, optimize and support new and existing data models and ETL processes based on our clients business requirements.
• Robust Data Infrastructure Management: Build, deploy and manage data infrastructure that can adequately handle the needs of a rapidly growing data driven organization.
• Seamless Data Accessibility and Security Coordination: Coordinate data access and security to enable data scientists and analysts to easily access to data whenever they need too.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience in data science, AI, and ML, with a focus on AI
• Experience with containerisation using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with Gen AI models and strategies for responsible development and deployment
• Experience in designing and improving RAG PLs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Ability to take ownership of topics and to independently drive them forward

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Nice to have:

• Understanding of MLOps and DevOps practices and tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar tools
• Experience/Knowledge about/with Elastic Search
• Knowledge of data engineering and data architecture
• Experience with data visualisation and business intelligence tools
• Strong understanding of AI governance frameworks and regulations & data governance and ethics
