Purpose of the job: The role of the Oracle Cloud EPM and Scripting Expert is to develop a deep business understanding of the financial process areas that consolidate into EPM to ensure the Oracle Financial solution optimally serves the business. The main stakeholder is the business, and you will work closely with the Business Process Owners (BPOs), Business Process Experts (BPEs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to prioritize support. You will define and provide hands-on advice to the business to support the required changes and align with other process areas to ensure that up/downstream and cross modular impact is considered and well managed.

Description:

• Is the development lead with a particular focus on financial consolidation processes and reporting, groovy scripting required to support any functional features or other applications that are script based functional applications
• Supports SCM, P2P, O2C and R2R with the development and support of their processes as required
• Drives service excellence and internal customer satisfaction and manages expectations, continually refining the support processes to improve quality and efficiency
• Communicates effectively complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
• Communicates effectively with a technical audience and translate the outcome into a functional design
• Identifies service issues that impact the Oracle/EPM processes, escalates as appropriate and works with support teams through to resolution
• Maintains business processes in the assigned Oracle modules, related interfaces and mapping to EPM
• Responsible for providing 2nd line process support for the business and internally in the ERP Oracle team
• Logs service requests and works with other members of the ERP Oracle team and support groups for 3rd line support and 4th line (third party support) when required
• Runs standard Oracle audit reports and initiates action regarding assigned modules and process areas
• Understands and supports extensions using (groovy) script and support where needed
• Responsible for maintaining process flows, configuration and supporting documentation and ensuring they are stored in the document repository
• Logs all ERP/Financial technology/process risks in the Risk Register and helps to identify and apply mitigating actions to reduce the risk (probability and impact)
• Participates, advises or leads in business change/continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that solutions are designed to be sustainable to prevent recurring issues; influences and involves the right stakeholders to engage in identifying improvement initiatives
• Responsible for translating business requirements into Oracle/EPM (re)configurations and adjustments by working with BPOs and BPEs to determine business requirements that need to be aligned to the system
• Aligns with other process areas to ensure that up and downstream and cross-modular impact is considered
• Responsible for ensuring all incident support work is consistently tracked through JIRA
• Manages the quality of information captured in the tickets by coaching and educating the Super User community and wider user base of the Oracle system
• Responsible for ensuring all development, configuration and change activities are tracked trough JIRA
• Provides effective Oracle ERP Finance consultancy and support with a broader conceptual knowledge of EPM and financial consolidation processes
• Assists the Service Delivery Manager by providing support for major incidents, contributing towards root cause analysis and ensuring gaps and vulnerabilities are identified and tracked, so that closure and agreed follow-up actions are managed to completion
• Assists in establishing effective support processes between APRO, Oracle and ERP Oracle team
• Helps to create and manage the development of policies and procedures, outlining how issues are identified, documented, assigned and corrected, ensuring they are stored and easily referenced in the documentation repository and knowledge database. Specifically: Incident and Service Request management process, Change Management process (particularly to account for patch updates/revision upgrades and enhancements), Reporting e.g. performance and exceptions
• Supports the Oracle Product Owner and works with the Oracle Technical team in planning new patches/releases and maintaining environments (DEV, TEST, PROD)
• Supports the Oracle Product Owner and Oracle Technical team to analyze and test new functionality for Oracle ERP/EPM, performing regression tests and integrations, provides advice regarding the potential impact (risks and benefits) of deploying it and makes recommendations to the business how to proceed.
