Purpose of the job:

Works within the Oracle Integration team in all integration activities with Oracle Cloud environments.
Creates and maintains agile, reliable and cost-effective technology solutions as and when required by business, to business specification and aligned with IT Architecture policies and guidelines. The Corporate Integration Expert will act as a senior Integration engineer. They will be recognized as the Subject Matter Expert for Oracle integration within the organisation and be technically capable for the design, development, validation of integration solutions within the Oracle Integration Cloud.

Description:

• Contributes to the design and specification of the core Integration Patterns and services to be implemented by Viking
• Ensures the delivery of the integration artefacts to Viking, making sure they conform to the design principles, standards and guidelines
• Develops relationships with customers, internal and external engineering, product, program/project and business teams to gather requirements, engage in rapid-prototyping, and to conceive, create, and design world class integration solutions
• Applies expert level understanding of Integration trends
• Effectively articulates the key design principles for Integration to the immediate team, suppliers and senior management
• Promotes an agile and flexible approach to solution design delivery across both internal and external delivery teams
• Optimizes delivered IT solutions and improved information management through an understanding of changing business needs and innovative technology capabilities
• Designs and delivers IT solutions with intelligent reuse of existing applications, development/purchase of reusable applications and smart integration methods to drive harmonization and integration of scarce IT resources to improve information capabilities and reduce cost; ensures the prevention of ‘re-inventing the wheel’ by individual project
• Delivers IT solutions that adhere to policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the organization. Manages Quality Assurance of deliveries by governing the use of standards, approaches and security policies
• Oversees initiation, coordination and execution of new business developments innovations and liaises with other IT departments to review and coordinate developments necessary to integrate and connect with other IT systems, applications and environments. Responsible for (technical) knowledge sharing with-in the team
• Contributes to the delivery of IT work packages in support of business and IT projects and change requests according to procedures and standards as defined, therefor formulates Technical Requirements, participates in Viking incident management process and develops and participates in the Development Life Cycle process to ensure compliance and quality is infused into all IT activities and solutions.
