Responsibilities
• Support payroll operations in Romania and other countries in EMEA region/ Ensure accuracy of statutory calculation for local reporting and compliance.
• Ensure accuracy of other payments and deductions processed via payroll.
• Deliver accurate payroll reports to internal and external stakeholders
• Remittance of payments to tax authorities, government offices and 3rd parties/Adhere to payroll process steps and controls and manage employees inquires/request
• Work closely with Payroll Manager and third party vendor to prioritize business and information needs.
• Ensures payroll is processed with speed and accuracy.
• Time & Attendance Management and communicate the T&A data to the payroll vendor.
• Serves as liaison to team members through HR Cases and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.
• Audits team member pay records, and reconciles totals by department, location, country, etc.
• Interprets pay policies, (e.g., vacation, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
• Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements, and stays current with changes in the law.
• Documents payroll processes and procedures.
• Ensures all processes and procedures meet government requirements.
