Our client, Van de Bilt Seeds and Flax B.V., is looking for production employees to join their team in Sluiskil, the Netherlands!Van de Bilt Seeds and Flax B.V., established over a century ago in Sluiskil, Netherlands, specializes in the production and processing of flax fibers and seeds. The company manages multiple stages of the flax production chain, including breeding new fiber and oil flax varieties, contracting growers for cultivation, and operating its own scutching and hackling facilities to process flax straw into various fiber products. Additionally, Van de Bilt is involved in sustainable development projects exploring non-textile applications of flax fibers, such as composite materials. As a production worker at Van de Bilt Flax and Seeds, you will work in a shed. You are responsible for processing flax—putting it in the machine streamlined and without seeds.Main ResponsibilitiesSort, feed, insert, and prepare flax straw for machine operation and packing;Operate machinery, check for potential issues, and fix minor malfunctions;Work indoors with repetitive tasks in a dusty environment while handling physically demanding activities involving hands, arms, and shoulders;Other related tasks.The starting salary for this position is €13.87 gross per hour, with a 10% shift allowance for two shifts and a 25% allowance for three shifts. Employees work 36–45 hours per week on a rotating schedule that includes morning, afternoon, and occasional night shifts, as well as occasional Saturdays, and are expected to stay for the entire employment period, with holidays arranged in consultation with the client. First, you will start working in two shifts. This is one week a morning shift from 06:00h to 14:00h and the next week an afternoon shift from 14:00h to 22:00h. For these shifts, you will always get a 10% extra allowance. If you prove suitable, you can start working three shifts after a few weeks. You will then also work night shifts.
