At Psychiatry, Region of Southern Denmark, we wish to strengthen our

professional environment with a specialist. We are looking for a skilled and

committed psychiatrist for our department in Vejle.

Upon arrival, you will participate in our proven onboarding program, which

includes relocation support, thorough introduction to the workplace, assistance

with all practical matters, and an intensive internal language course.

You will live and work in the beautiful city of Vejle, which has much to

offer in terms of nature and culture. Vejle is centrally located, just a

30-minute drive to Billund International Airport and within driving distance of

both the German border and the capital, Copenhagen.

We Provide Specialist Treatment


The department in Vejle is part of Psychiatry in the Region of Southern

Denmark. The department offers specialist services to approximately 300,000

residents. It is a professionally independent unit responsible for mental

health services and provides various types of services, including inpatient

care, outpatient services, and emergency offers. The department has FACT teams

that collaborate with municipalities and local emergency teams during the

daytime.

We work interdisciplinarily and collaborate across sections with treating

specialists, psychologists, physiotherapists, nurses, social workers,

healthcare personnel, and medical secretaries.

Milieu therapy is an essential part of treatment in the inpatient

departments. We hold joint medical meetings and treatment meetings focusing on

various professional topics. We are now strengthening our treatment group with

a treating specialist. The current vacancy is in our inpatient unit, with the possibility

of later transfer to an outpatient clinic.

Job

Responsibilities:



  • Diagnostic evaluation, planning treatment

    pathways, and patient discharge

  • Assessment and diagnosis of mental disorders

  • Treatment of various mental

    disorders

  • Individual follow-up of patients

  • Collaboration in interdisciplinary teams and with

    the municipal healthcare system

  • Participation in intake meetings/evaluation of

    referrals

  • Patient documentation

  • Medical assessments

  • Somatic examinations and

    follow-up

  • Professional and clinical meetings with other

    caregivers, nurses, etc.

  • Supervision of doctors in

    training

  • Danish authorization as a specialist - we will

Vejle, a Place for You to Live – and for Your

Your employment will begin with an intensive language course. You will

participate in our well-tested internal language course, which takes place in

small groups with other international doctors and nurses. The teaching will

focus on communicative tasks so that you can quickly communicate with patients

and colleagues. There will be classes every day, and after 5-6 months, you will

work full-time while continuing Danish lessons in the evenings.

If you are moving to Denmark with a partner and/or children, we are

committed to ensuring that the relocation is successful for the whole family.

Public schools are free in Denmark, and there are many different opportunities

for children to participate in extracurricular activities. We offer free Danish

courses for partners and gladly provide advice on job searching and settlement

opportunities.
