REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Economics, Finance, Audit, or Accounting;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal/external audit or internal control;
• Strong knowledge of risk management and internal control;
• Excellent communication and influencing skills;
• Perseverance, critical thinking, and ability to work independently;
• Integrity and honesty;
• Well-developed analytical skills;
• Ability to learn quickly and continuously.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint);
• Knowledge of SAP and PowerBI is an advantage;
• Advanced English skills, both written and spoken;
• Excellent command of Romanian, both written and spoken.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify relevant risks and control objectives and determine whether there are gaps in the internal control framework;
• Advice and support business in designing / implementing controls to remediate any gaps identified either by R&C or internal / external audit;
• Lead effectiveness testing of the internal control framework for the local organization (both ICFR and non-ICFR);
• Ensure that all controls required by GSO global policies are efficiently implemented at the national level;
• Periodically review, monitor, and support the remediation of identified control deficiencies;
• Annually update process flows for the main operational and/or financial processes;
• Support management in assessing the impact of control deficiencies, under the supervision of the direct manager;
• Conduct an annual Fraud Risk Assessment based on guidance received from GSO R&C and EU R&C to ensure fraud risks are adequately mitigated;
• Provide support during internal and external audits, throughout the execution of audit plans;
• Actively participate in projects, offering support in risk and control-related aspects;
• Provide training and support to new and existing users of the internal control platform;
• Promote and encourage risk awareness at all organizational levels;
• Maintain effective relationships with business teams, discussing control issues and related solutions.
