Key Responsibilities:
Take full responsibility for the accounting agenda and month-end closings.
Ensure a smooth transition of accounting processes from an external provider to the internal set-up.
Assist with tax audits and preparation of tax returns, including filing tax returns in accordance with legal deadlines.
Track unpaid invoices and overdue payments.
Reconcile bank accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Monitor changes in financial and tax legislation to ensure compliance with current regulations.
Create automated reports and update databases in accounting software.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Although the Senior Accountant will not handle supplier and client invoices directly, he/she will be responsible for verifying the conformity of their booking.
Handle supplier and client invoices, including accurate registration and processing.
Book salary-related accounting entries (based on provided payroll documentation).
Prepare and submit monthly declarations, in line with local requirements.
Compile quarterly balance sheets and support monthly reporting to HQ.
Cooperate closely with the local and international teams to ensure consistency and transparency in financial reporting.
