- Design of 3-D CAD math data of technologically feasible and economically reasonable component changes and component improvements conform to Roof Product Line design guidelines, lessons learned, and customer specifications.
- Interacts as the interface between the CIE Golde production plant, CIE Golde Engineering, and CIE Golde Customers for sunroof systems that are in production (sustaining projects).
- Carry out design tasks according to specified guidelines (design parts, assemblies, and systems according to specifications, sketches, and drafts).
- Review drawings and ensure all information on the drawings is correct (i.e., design, tolerancing (G, D&T), material specifications, drawing notes, etc.).
- Manage the drawing release process and the related design change process and confirm that the CAD data is documented in the PDM / PLC database.
- Responsible for 3-D CAD Data and drawing readiness on time according to project plan & customer targets.
- Create and update the engineering bill of material together with Product Engineering in the PDM / PLC database.
- Creates/revises and controls comprehensive project schedules in coordination with CIE Golde Product Engineering and customers.
- Identify sunroof problem areas and work with customers and suppliers to find and implement solutions.
- Support processes like TS 16949 and PDP to ensure quality and development results.
- Cooperate with CAE Designers and Product Engineers of CIE Roof Systems globally
- Establish and evaluate tolerance chains.
