The topics of digitalization and simulationssupport us in planning for the future and in implementation.Based in Oradea, we are looking for a “Senior Materials Buyer / Planner”that helps us to optimize and manage our materials buying/planning, in close collaboration and as a temporarysupport for our MC factory in Buzias / Romania.Whatpart will you play?·Purchase raw material and finishedparts & maintain material plan at the time fenceto ensure continuity of supply at highest level at optimal costs &inventory levels.·Maintain proactive shortageidentification and inventory management - flag root causes& take corrective actions. Expedite deliveries to meet and exceed scheduledcritical requirements or postpone deliveries where required to optimizeinventory levels. Interface with required functional groups to resolvechallenging delivery requirements.·Work closely with suppliers:Monitor their ability to meet delivery dates, reschedule purchase orders and resolveany supply issues with the supplier. Provide forecasts and other relevantinformation required by suppliers to support company’s requirements. Monitorpast due orders and work with suppliers, receiving and accounting to resolveissues. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to resolve quality issues withsuppliers.·Conduct regular on-site performancereviews with your suppliers to optimize the sourcing process, actively driving& managing process improvement activities to ensurehigh delivery reliability, install optimal sourcing models, introducereturnable packaging to save process cost etc.·Maintain and continuously evaluatesupplier performance, develop your supplier base being involved fromnew supplier selection & introduction, change or material substitutions workingin a cross-functional team with technology, quality & strategicalprocurement to ensure a smooth, reliable supply at optimal cost and inventorylevels.·Manage optimal sourcing models(e.g. VMI, Consignment): Analyze + select fittingmaterials; manage, optimize parameters of existing sourcing models (e.g. lotsize, min/max settings). ·Monitor KPI, analyze actual demand,trends, and forecasts, and adjust inventory plans for your parts.Identify forecast and demand plan issues and work closely with the MasterSchedulers and Demand Planners to resolve. Analyze relevant KPIs & takecorrective action if needed.·Inventory optimization &planning analysis: Monitor and adjust planning parameters to minimizeinventory while providing high levels of service given lead time andreliability of supplier. Investigate causes of slow-moving inventory, implementpreventative action, and dispose of obsolete inventory in a cost-effectivemanner.·Ensure optimal parameter settingsfor your parts when issuing orders, including correct pricing,optimal safety stock settings, replenishment parameters, lot size, returnablepackaging etc. to obtain optimum price breaks & minimal set up costs whilemaintaining acceptable inventory levels.·Lead or co-lead & drive processimprovement projects at your supplier base, e.g. technicalchange, phase in/phase-out, KPI performance optimization or ondepartment level regarding digitalization (AI, RPA) or improvement of operativepurchasing process, always with a view on the End-to-End (E2E) optimum.What you need tomake real what matters.·Bachelor or Master’s degree preferably in businessadministration, industrial engineering or logistics.·Minimum of 3-5 additional years of professional experiencein Materials Planning and Execution.·Very good proficiency English (spoken & written) isan absolute must to this role since you work in an international environment. Proficiencyof German is a big benefit.·A very good understanding of SAP R/3 or SAP S4 (MMmodule) and openness to AI-driven or RPA-optimized planning tools·Experience in operations, inventory management, MRPand basic knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes / Value streamoptimization.·Good MS Office experience, including excellentspreadsheet skills.·Basic knowledge of project management, having at leastpartially managed smaller projects·Proven analytical and organizational ability.·Highly analytical with persuasive abilities.·Able to work autonomously and be a proactive problemsolver with effective problem identification and solution skills, includingability to lead smaller process improvement projects.·Excellent communication skills.·Personally, you are a great in teamwork and puttingthings into practice.·Innovations (digitalization, data analytics, processimprovements) are your passion and you also drive them forward independently.·2-3 business trips per year to Germany are not aproblem for you.What we offer.·Work focus in Oradea.·In addition to exciting work opportunities, we offer awide range of benefits and place special emphasis on a healthy work-lifebalance.
