Our Alternative Delivery Model center (ADM) based in Bucharest, provides Accounting and Tax Compliance support services to clients across the global PwC Network.

We are currently looking for an experienced Associate to join the fast-growing Alternative Delivery Model team.

In this role you would be working to support PwC firms in Western Europe with Tax and Legal back-office support services, leveraging on your local expertise and learning agility to deliver outstanding value together with your international colleagues. Within the Tax and Legal line of service, we provide a wide range of services for large international clients and we are looking to deliver internal financial and billing administrative services to our Export Delivery team in Romania.

As a Team Leader within the ADM, you are the nerve centre playing an important role in supporting the international team in the professional handling of customer-oriented processes and coordinating a team of associates and senior associates.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating the team, while also taking part in delivering services to the client.

Coordination would mainly include:

You will make sure the team you are leading follows PwC practices and standards according to the company policies and guidelines, as well as the agreed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP);
You are responsible for the career and talent development of the team members you are leading;
Act as main point of contact for our client in PwC Western Europe;
Help create and implement the Service Operating Procedure (SOP) across various lines of service;
You are part of the recruitment process for the open roles within the team you lead.

The delivery role would include a cross section of the following:

Taking an active role across Risk Management (RM), also known as KYC (Know your client);
Taking an active role across Engagement set up and Data Management Systems;
Supporting working capital management;
Supporting the management of accounts receivables (AR);
Supporting office management, the leadership and the team with administration related to corporate diaries, travel arrangement, travel expenses, other;
Assisting with the administration and management of key accounts;
Issuing invoices correctly within deadlines and sending them to the clients. While doing this, you will check the internal database in this respect (client data, validity of contract);
Actively report on the status of the client account and tracking unpaid bills;
Respond to clients’ requests or escalate them, depending on the complexity level;
Assisting Managers with various billing reports;
Providing Credit Controller with information related to invoices;
Contribute your own ideas for the improvement of existing processes and together we can look at putting them practice.

Your profile:

Initial experience in a similar domain;
Service-orientated, take pride in your work, and like to get things done;
You like understanding how billing and other internal administrative processes work and how they are inter-linked;
You can communicate confidently in English and German (Level B2), by email and phone - Mandatory ;
Proven experience of leading a team of professionals in the field of customer services;
You have the skill to recognize talented individuals and motivate them to excel in their performance;
Your communication style is both precise and empathetic, allowing you to offer guidance and consistent feedback effectively;
You have a higher professional education in Commerce, Business Economics, Business Administration, International Business Management or similar.
