Educatoare / Educator

We are looking for a dedicated educator, with 3-5 years of experience, passionate about working with the little ones and eager to contribute to the harmonious development of our children, in an environment with the highest standards.
Requirements:
✅ Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the field of early childhood education;
✅ Advanced knowledge of English – experienced level;
✅ Passion for education and creativity in working with children;
✅ Excellent communication and patience skills;
✅ Studies in the field of education (Pedagogy of Primary and Preschool Education or equivalent);

Responsibilities:
✅ Work as part of a team with other teachers to meet the needs of the children enrolled in the age group in which you work;
✅ Speak in English throughout the day with all children and teachers and encourage children to continually progress in their understanding and use of English. Ensure that your own grammar and pronounciation are of the highest standard.
✅ Contribute ideas to the weekly planning for your group that encourage the physical, social, and cognitive development of each child and that follows Acorns policies and philosophy.
✅Take good care of all Acorns resources and teach children how to do the same
✅ Take turns in leading activities from the weekly plan, differentiate these to suit the needs of the individual child with concern for his/her interests, special need, talents, and individual style and pace of learning.
✅ Ensure there is an appropriate balance of quiet and active activities, by drawing on age appropriate classroom management strategies
✅ Deal with any behaviour issues in a sensitive and calm way according to Acorns behaviour policy and guidelines
✅Prepare an attractive and welcoming environment for children each morning
✅Ensure rooms are well aired and that temperature remains comfortable for children throughout the day
✅At mealtimes, help children to eat where necessary and encourage children to develop healthy eating habits
✅Use songs and music throughout the day as learning tools and to set atmosphere
✅Learn and use EYSL throughout the day, encouraging children to do the same
✅Encourage children to be independent in accordance with expectations for their age and praise their efforts
