- Agri products (like spices and herbs, fruits and vegetables)
· Bachelor or Master in Applied Food Science, or Master in Bioscience Engineering
· Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in food process engineering, food science, analytical chemistry and technologies for food.
· Exhibit strong technical knowledge in food ingredient functionality and/or meat science/technology.
· Strong project development & management skills
· Acquainted with standard IT tools (Microsoft office 365 (SharePoint, PowerPoint, excel, word)
· Advanced written and oral communication skills in English including the ability to effectively communicate technical information with all levels of the organization.
· Must be self-motivated, able to develop a positive work relationship with others, flexible, organized, action orientated, hands-on, convincing, problem solving, creative, innovative, proactive, and curious.
· Able to work with and consume meat and savory products.
· Capable to work in an independent way and in a team.
· Willingness to work in fast pace and dynamic team environment.
· Able to travel approximately 10-20% of time.

As part of the Central Sourcing RD&A team you set and lead the RD&A strategy for the raw material categories under your scope and manage the roll out across the Solina group in close cooperation with the Head of Central Sourcing R&D and the Central sourcing R&D raw material category specialist in agri products.
For the categories under your responsibility, you will, as central RD&A member, be accountable for:
· Defining the central sourcing strategy together with central procurement and central quality and the Central sourcing R&D raw material category manager in agri products
· Ingredient innovation market watch (incl pro-active RD&A screening)
· Providing raw mat innovations required to achieve our innovation programs.
· Training the Solina RD&A community in material usage / understanding
· Supporting Solina’s B&T and Regional platform on Innovation Projects including co-design of new RMs
· Harmonize your raw material portfolio and assure that the Solina community has access to all needed information to use the preferred items.
In collaboration with your procurement & quality counterpart your key tasks are:
· To understand (screen) the RMs within your RM category responsibility, the RM producers incl. their technology, set-up a secured supply portfolio with dual supply for top products
· To represent Solina towards suppliers for technical matters, to work on innovation programs and innovation days with our suppliers and to work on scorecards for the suppliers under your responsibility.
· To execute new product watch for your category and capture supplier innovation
· To propose a category sourcing strategy (supporting the business needs of Solina) and communicate this toward upper management and local R&D communities.
· To set the supplier preferred list for the category.
· To lead central RM harmonisation / RM re-engineering programs (RD&A part!!) reaching the target value optimisation, de-risking the portfolio and assure that sustainable targets are achieved.
· To provide to the RD&A teams the group list of recommended materials and be the gate keeper of this list (including updating the life cycle status of Raw materials) and assure that new items are entered in our PLM with all the needed requirements for our Solina community.
· Support on audits on key suppliers within your portfolio (RD&A part)
· Support on new M&A integrations (portfolio assessment, implementation of proper RM onboarding within your portfolio, training …)
· Set-up meeting routines with our B&T platforms and regions to support on their innovation projects.
· To train (to organize the training for) the Solina RD&A community in material usage / understanding
· Help to further build out new procedures to test the functionality of diverse raw materials within our portfolio.
- You will test new equipment to screen new ingredients.
· Managing the lab equipment (calibration, maintenance, protocols,…) and ingoing and outgoing sample requests and are managing stock levels.
Works are carried out guided by the requirements of the fields of food safety, quality, environmental, health & safety and the requirements of the field that the company operates in.
